Rob may be onto something. All of our units are standardized to a very high degree. We all have the same stove, sinks, cabinets, etc. They are of "normal" size. Our main reason for standardizing everything was cost, but the banks were much easier to convince when we had "regular" houses in looking for our first mortgages. You can always customize later if you must. This is one of the most important ways to keep costs down, although it takes a certain amount of intestinal fortitude not to cave when people want custom homes. It's also much cheaper to buy appliances en masse. -- Liz Stevenson Southside Park Cohousing Sacramento, California tamgoddess [at] attbi.com _______________________________________________ Cohousing-L mailing list Cohousing-L [at] cohousing.org Unsubscribe and other info: http://www.cohousing.org/cohousing-L
