This summer we willhave probably 4 houses for sale, two of which will have asking prices over $400,000. It is my belief, and I might be wrong, that there is no cohousing market for houses at that price, thus IF they sell, the people who buy them will not be very much interested in community. (I am hoping I am wrong aboutthis).
We are in an urban area so it makes a difference but we just had heavy competition for a three bedroom with a den and basement that I think finally sold for $425,000.00.
We have a waiting list for anything we are willing to sell -- mostly people who are waiting for cohousing. The homes are fairly standard condominium design, although on the small side to make the commonhouse more desirable.
