Cohousing-L Mailing List: question about cohousing for people with disabilities

I was wondering if you guys can help me.I belong to a new shared housing coop 
at a psychosocial rehab clubhouse for people with mental illness.I have 
severe depression and a birth defect called spina Bifida.In  order to live in 
this house I will need my own bathroom because of personal needs one of the 
ladies stated she won't live there if I have my own bathroom I feel horrible 
and don't know how to compromise can you guys give me your feedback about 
your experiences with cohousing the experience you had and the advantages and 
disadvantages so I can even decide if I want to fight this battle and how to
