Cohousing-L Mailing List: Pipes: cast iron vs. PVC

Hello fellow cohousers,

I have recently heard about noise issues connected with PVC pipes in 
some cohousing developments and I was wondering if any of you in 
coho-land who have these kind of pipes would care to comment on this 
issue. Are they really noisier than cast-iron pipes? A lot noiser or 
just a tiny bit? Have you had to change any of your activities of daily 
living to compensate for this? How many of you think they are better 
than cast-iron pipes? Why?
