Elaine,

We use one on-line calendar hosted by www.calendars.net to reserve space
in the Common House, who is cooking when, when it is your turn to clean
the Common House, and birthdays.

We only have one member who is not on the community listserv which is
helpful as most news/requests for help/announcements are sent via e-mail.

Before each meal, we have a reading and moment of silence, then there is
time for announcements.

Announcements are still broadcast at our meetings, but it is scheduled
only five minutes at the end of the meeting.

Due to the strenuous efforts of one of our members, we have an irregular
newsletter. She requests donation but I am not sure she recovers her
costs.

I hope this helps.

BTW, if someone knows of a web calendar service that would e-mail
reminders, i.e cooking tasks, please post to this list or e-mail me
directly.
