Cohousing-L Mailing List: How do we get our web site more visible?

Here's one more question our group needs help with:

What are the best ways to get our web site to come up on Google or other
search engines?  I've tested various search terms, and we don't appear in at
least the first 5 pages of Google, even if I put in "cohousing
Pennsylvania", which should get us in at least the first 10 sites listed if
the Net and searching were rational.
