Kaye:In our community there is a standard, "Committee politics are more important than the welfare of the community."
I was fired from a committee because I spoke about my concerns without permission to the general community after not receiving any respect from the committee members. In other words, I was a traitor to my fellow committee members. The people with the loudest voices and the most aggressive manner get to call the shots, and if I don't like it, I am overruled. In other words, common decency does not prevail.
At the meeting of the committee from which I was ejected, a triumvirate had decided in secret to get rid of me. When I attended the next meeting, this triumvirate viciously pounced on me, not even giving me a chance to explain my actions. I was summarily told that my presence was not acceptable. The two major people in this decision remain aloof from me to this day.
