It would be very useful to capture this dialogue on demographics in a meaningful way. The logical place for that description is the wiki<http://wiki.cohousing.org/index.php?title=Main_Page>. A previous thread (modular construction) was placed on a wiki page but not in the most useful form. It simply listed the message links and a brief summary of each message. A more useful form is to convert that raw information into knowledge by structuring it in the form of a document with links to other resources. Wikipedia <http://www.wikipedia.org> is a good form to imitate. [The current wiki is a bit difficult to navigate. From the *Main Page*, one can navigate to the *Document Library*. To get to the *Modular Construction*page, you have to search on "Modular" or check *Recent changes*. Perhaps a second entry under the section *Highlights*could be *Active Issues*--a page where there are a set of current links to wiki pages that are currently active (e.g., modular construction or demographics).] A wiki page (or network of wiki pages) is a collaboratively constructed document, something a community (or community of communities) should become good at producing. Initially, the document can just be an attempt to summarize a particularly dialogue. It will eventually self-organize into something more meaningful than a list of messages as others contribute and comment on the existing content. It might even lead to some useful suggestions about how to capture member community demographics. The editor may be a challenge for some. If it is, I will be happy to place material out there for anyone who wants to commit some verbiage to an email and send it to me at wjfaust [at] gmail.com. This assumes the wiki gods have no objection to my adding a reference to *Active Issues* (or something more appropriate) on the wiki's main page.
