Had to chime in here. Having a disabled hubby myself (tho not living in a co-ho right now, am hoping to someday!), an elevator for a second floor in the common house would be a definite plus, if not a necessity on our list. There are many affordable elevator options out there. Many can be installed in the size of a regular closet. Tho I must admit I am pretty new at this whole thing, below are just two links I found by doing a Google search on "home elevators". http://www.inclinator.com/ - looks a mite spendy, but can get some ideas from them http://www.residentialelevators.com/ - might not be available in your area, but again, can get some ideas. Hope that helps. Also, as a common house, it indeed may be a requirement. But definitely check with your contractor or codes/permits dept of your town, as they should know for sure. ~Lise
