Hi Patti,

I would certainly be interested in knowing about option 2.  For that
matter, I'd also be interested in what you told the agent about the
details in option 1.  When I discussed a cost-sharing arrangement with my
insurance agent (also in MA) a few years ago, he said we would need a
commercial policy.  And if the financial arrangement wasn't disclosed and
there was an accident with the non-owner driver, the details of the
arrangement might come out under questioning and the non-commercial
insurance might not cover it.  The key seemed to be money changing hands,
not whether it was for profit.
