And unless you get started, you can’t self-correct. You  can only wonder. 
Making it physical means you can test and correct.

The trick is to view it as a development, evolutionary process that you learn 
from — not an impossible task. It can be overwhelming if you expect yourself to 
get it right the first or even the 100th time. The first day is the hardest. 
You might only get one line written in the bylaws or the map of trees and hills 
laid out for the building. 

As they say in 12-step programs, one day at a time. 

Maybe Coho/US should have badges? First meeting, first signed contract, first 
call to an architect, first contract on land, first decision on toilets, first 
decision on outdoor cats. In a lot of colors. 

Maybe trophies? Badges get bigger and bigger? 

Maybe one badge for each member of the group at each step. People with the most 
badges on move-in day get free rice and beans? A potted plant?
