Sharon's post about swapping out the sanitizer for (how many?) residential
dishwashers piqued my interest.  We have one of each, now both 20yo so
perhaps needing replacement relatively soon.

I am most interested in knowing who comes back and empties the residential
dishwashers? For all the nuisance aspects of the sanitizer, its best
feature imo is that everything gets put away immediately after it comes out
sanitized.

We have no system in place for emptying our residential dishwasher ...
someone voluntarily shows up the next day or later, and if no one does, it
waits until the next potluck or prepared meal. Which means items may be put
away very haphazardly in spite of very clear signage.
