Cohousing-L Mailing List: Re: Can we change the platform for this listserve?

I'd like to express heartfelt gratitude to the moderators who oversee this
listserv.
As someone who moderates a fair share of listservs myself I appreciate the
behind-the-scenes dedication to keeping an eye on logistics and content,
and doing so both diligently and find the sweet spot between freedom and
control.
I also appreciate that requests to switch over from left field will be
considered in light of _all of the factors_. It's a request to put in a
huge amount of volunteer hours and the cost has to significantly outweigh
the benefit.
Considerations are:
- will the benefits outweigh the costs?
- what are the alternatives?
- which of the alternatives are viable?
- what will this take?
- what will be lost? (the archives, for example, are precious- I'd not
support losing them)
