Email is just one communication tool you have. The phone is another. Use them well, you will discover the limitations of each, both will add value. You will discover, if you have not already, that once your group gets beyond a certain size, the primary difficulty you will have is communicating all the info to everyone. In a consensus process, it can be very frustrating when 22 people are ready to go, and 4 have not heard a thing about it.
