This Groups.io sounds great! I'll broach this subject here. It also makes me willing to get back into managing email lists for family. I gave this up after Yahoo! revoked access to the manager email account. I hadn't needed to login for a couple of years, so . . .

My point, though, is I really like this idea. The ability to mute a thread is golden all by itself.

We use a wiki and email list primarily, now. This is problematic in that it excludes a lot of folk, whether for technical, temperamental, or other reasons. We have used physical bulletin boards at the Common House and by the mail boxes in the past. The trick seems that the communication habits of people keep changing! I don't suppose that's something worth trying to change.
