Hello All, I am working with Heartwood Cohousing in southwestern Colorado, USA to develop 14 more homes to add to 24 existing homes and a common house. We are hoping to field some input on other communities' journeys of choosing, constructing, and maintaining pathway materials and sizes. Our evaluation of pathway alternatives are based on the following criteria: Pathways are economical, accessible for wheelchairs, practical for snow removal, strong enough for fire trucks, clean (not muddy when wet), beautiful, durable, and low maintenance. We would like to know the following from anyone willing to answer (we are primarily looking at concrete, including stamped and colored, and pavers): - - What are your pathways made out? - How wide are they? - How much maintenance do they require (time and cost)? - Other pros and cons? - Have you been happy with them? Would you recommend them? Yours in community, *Charlie Shew, EIT* Assistant Project Manager Heartwood Phase 2 Bayfield, CO M: 970.234.8418
