Cohousing-L Mailing List: Work Sharing

Does any community use a bartering system where work done in many areas 
counts toward a databank of hours worked.

I'm wondering if it make sense for one person to be able to cook more meals
because that is what they like to do and another person does baby sitting,
another legal consultation. etc.
