It also had a pull down screen for slides. We scored it at the Duke University surplus shop one day for next to nothing. Before that we relied heavily on paper flip charts and dry erase sheets that stuck to the wall using static electricity. On the other question - you can buy blackboard paint at most paint stores. You write on it in chalk. The paint comes in lots of colors besides black and several people in Eno Commons painted parts of their kitchens in it. I think the paint companies advertise it for children's rooms, where it is also fun to have.
