I find that the number one blind spot in communities marketing themselves is people in other areas who will move for cohousing. Many of us have connections with other parts of the country -- places we once lived, where our friends live, where we always wanted to live, where we could transfer with our companies, etc. You may think your area is expensive but there is always something else more expensive and people are relocating every day. How do you reach these people? Keep your information up to date in the cohousing database and delegate someone from your group to post updates to this list. And start (off-list) dialogues with people who post here to say they are looking.
