Hello,Here at Winslow Cohousing we have a huge, community shared, worm bin, and it gets a lot of use. None of the standard units have garbage disposals, because the expectation was that everyone would compost, and most people like the convenience of having someone else do it for them. Unfortunately, the earth worms have not been able to keep up and we have a very, very bad odor problem.
As a possible replacement we are looking at the Earth Tub, by Green Mountains Technologies. Does anyone else have experience with this product?
Are there other communites that are doing big, centralized composting? If so, have you found a solution that works well for you?
