Hi Elana, We tend to use the principles of NonViolent Communication (cnvc.org) in our meetings and conflict resolution sessions. Active listening helps and, of course, no side conversations or eye rolling; "I" statements always set a stage for avoiding blaming. We also have a policy of "no triangulating", which means that if you have a beef about your neighbor, you go directly to that neighbor and talk about it rather than complaining to all your other neighbors. Good luck! Pam Bredouw Vashon Island Cohousing vashoncohousing.com
