Hi all - As a cohousing member who moved out this summer, I can tell you I really didn't and don't want a closure ceremony. My relationships with my former neighbors aren't over, just changed. Putting physical distance between you and the people you care about is not closing the relationships - it changes them and tests them, so there is definitely great grief involved. And yet, at least to me, once a connection, always a connection. All this is still evolving for me and my family, so I may have more to add later (especially as we are seriously considering diving into cohousing again in our new locale).
