I think architectural review policies should only concern themselves withproperty values and safety, past that it is ?Viva la difference?.
I once knew a family that used their front yard for a trash pile. When something broke they threw it in the front yard. Technically, there was no problem with this, except it looked like a junk yard. Some residents feel that unless we do something, it will be the same here -- not as bad but similar. Too many chatchkas (sp?) on the outside walls.
Three door mats in a row with political slogans that everyone has to see to get to the elevator can be very wearing when one doesn't share the sentiment that one's politics should be walked on.
