You had some great points on raising children that I strongly agreee with.

As far as you being African-American, I don't care.  I strive to be
colour-blind.  The cultural differences are very interesting, but I don't
want to treat you as an individual any differently than other individuals.
I will learn your strengths and weaknesses and treat you accordingly.
