I'd say that if everyone in the community likes this arrangement, it's
fine.
My feeling about my own community is that we aren't even close 
to having enough people who would like to cook/clean for others
to the extent that it will be required  if some don't participate
in the effort.  Let's remember that if some don't cook or clean
but eat - those who cook or clean need to do it more often, and
for more people.  And I suspect that the difference might not
be negligent.

As I see it, people who feel resentful because they see themselves as
doing too much work (while others don't) have an issue which is 
separate from the meal issue - and which certainly demands attention.
