Eating together is one of the few things that cohousers do together on a
very regular basis. Breaking bread is central to any social group: churches,
families, etc. It is the foundation of so many events, and it's necessary
for life. Cooking the meals is something that has to be done several times a
week. Landscaping, maintenance, and bookkeeping, while necessary, are very
different qualitatively and quantitatively.

I just cooked tonight, so I'm too tired to be much more eloquent than that.
