On incense and other toxic substances

FYI: Lots of candles are toxic. Many have lead (!) in the weak (sp?) On
the IAQ (indoor air quality) listing there had been many discussions of
the unhealthfullness of candles while I was on it.

I think in general there are many people - in coho communities and
elsewhere - who have a hard time understanding the issues around chemical
sensitivities and allergies. I know it's true in my community (Sonora
cohousing). This can be very
frustrating and painful for those of us who don't do well
when various substances are brought into the common areas.
